The Middlesex Grand Officers and Provincial Grand Officers Club (aka PGO) has, yet again, shown itself to be one of the best evenings in the Middlesex Masonic calendar. With over 260 people in attendance it is a relaxed evening where one can meet with fellow Masons and friends and learn about what is happening in the Province. Middlesex Light Blues Club On a cold and wet morning in March, the Light Blues Club got together and had a fantastic time watching the Provincial Stewards of Prince Michael of Kent Lodge demonstrate the First Degree in Craft Masonry; the ceremony was carried out to the highest level and was explained step by step by W Bro Mike Kearsley (one of the Provincial Orators). The Middlesex Grand Officers and Provincial Grand Officers Club played host to representatives from 17 charities on 19 April at the BA Concorde Club, Cranford. 200 Brethren enjoyed the usual Club AGM and then watched as Middlesex gave away over £56,000 to the charities. The Middlesex Provincial Relief Fund, Grand Charity, The Provincial Ball, the Middlesex Charitable Trust, Aspire Lodge, Mowbray Lodge, Citidel Lodge, Richmond Chapter and Brent Valley Lodge were the donors and we then watched the excellent Dreamflight video showing an example...

Sir Francis Burdett Lodge 1503 scored a possible first for Middlesex Freemasonry this year; initiating the fourth generation Davis into the Lodge. Claude Davies was initiated on 8 October 1919 taking the Master’s chair in 1926. He was still an active member of the lodge until his death in 1955. Tony Davis, Claude’s son, became a member of the lodge 10 years before his father’s passing in October 1945 whilst still serving abroad for King and Country.
